Section 1: Understanding the Ideological and Political essence of radicalism
This section is about understanding the ideological and political essence of radicalism. It is structured in three lessons, two theoretical and one video for group discussion or individual reflection. Lesson 1 introduces ideology and politics and lesson 2 goes deeper into youth engagement in ideology and politics and radicalisation risk. It also talks about the most common types of radicalisation based on political, religious, environmental and technological factors.

At the end of this section, learners will be able to:
- Understand the role of ideology and politics on shaping society’s beliefs, values and interactions.
- Understand the difference between ideology and politics
- Understand that one of the risks of youth engagement in ideology and politics is the potential for radicalisation towards violent extremism.
- Outline the most common types of radicalisation among youth
Section 2: Main types of radicalism in the youth environment
This section goes deeper in some examples of political, religious, environmental and technological radicalism that are present in the current world. Lesson 1 delves into political and religious radicalism among youth, which represent significant challenges, as young individuals may be susceptible to extreme ideologies that offer simplistic solutions to complex societal issues. Lesson 2 delves into environmental and technological radicalism among youth, including emerging forms of activism and engagement driven by concerns over environmental sustainability and technological ethics.

At the end of this section, learners will be able to:
- Distinguish the different types of radicalisation that can occur and name specific examples of them.
- Outline the ideological forms that radicalisation takes in each relevant factor.
- Promote discussions about the most common factors of youth radicalisation in their own environment.
